The Antelope in London (specifically near Tooting Broadway) is my local pub and so becomes the first entry in my blog. Part of the Antic chain of pubs which is transforming London into a mecca for fantastic and unique pubs this is no exception and truly is a shining example of what a pub should be like. It has a great feel with mixed chairs, stools, button back leather sofas, wingback arm chairs and large central bar. It has an impressive and well chosen selection of beers. With numerous guest ales (all great), loads of imported bottled beer (including Kwak) a range of ‘standard’ lagers and my personal favourite (im a sucker for it) Meantime London Pale Ale and Meantime Wheat Beer. Add in a great selection of wines, good food, not too pricey, weekly quiz nights, monthly comedy and friendly staff and it all makes The Antelope a great place to be and meet friends. I cannot speak more highly of this place and cannot recommend any changes that would make it better.
This is the benchmark!
