Great name, great artwork, great beer! I was immediately drawn to Tiny Rebel F.U.B.A.R. at the Craft Beer Co and 3 beers in decided to try it. I had already had a Kernel Pale Ale and a Dark Star Ardenne, so I needed something with a bold, interesting flavour to stand up to these other strong tastes. Tiny Rebel’s F.U.B.A.R. pale ale did not disappoint. It was full flavoured, flowery and hoppy, but not over-powering and not too bold. Unlike the others this could be a session beer and is interesting enough to live up to the expectation of the artwork.
This is the first time that I have come across the Tiny Rebel brewery, based in Newport, Wales but on the basis of this beer I should definitely seek out some more. I feel that this would be an interesting beer to both beer connoisseurs and to people new to ales. I would be very pleased to have this on at my local.
“A unique schizophrenic beer where you’ll face off against floral hoppy flavours up front, leading into a dry spicy bitterness on the back. Need something a bit different to wake up your taste buds? It’s time to get a FUBAR.” (Tiny Rebel)
